Jacob Goodkin, CFA

ESG Analyst

Jacob is responsible for evaluating current and potential portfolio investments and engaging companies to advance sustainable business practices. In his role, Jacob analyzes corporate sustainability polices, practices, and performance across a broad array of environmental, social, and governance factors. He contributes to Boston Trust Walden’s leadership in shareholder engagement, specifically on climate risk, through company dialogues, shareholder resolutions, and public policy advocacy. Jacob is a member of the ESG Research & Engagement Committee. He also represents Boston Trust Walden on the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility’s (ICCR) Methane and Just Transition Working Groups.

Jacob began his career when he joined the firm as a Portfolio Associate in 2019. He earned a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Franklin & Marshall College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential, and is a member of the CFA Society Boston and the CFA Institute.
