As Manager, Proxy Voting and ESG Analysis, Jared ensures the firm votes proxies consistent with its guidelines and also provides guidance and oversight related to the ESG Investing team’s research and analysis. He supports the firm’s engagement efforts with companies across a range of sustainability issues.
Jared is a member of the Active Ownership Committee and ESG Research & Engagement Committee. He also represents Boston Trust Walden as a delegate to the ISSB Investor Advisory Group, a global group of leading asset owners and asset managers committed to improving the quality and comparability of sustainability-related financial disclosures. In 2024, Jared was appointed to the Council of Institutional Investors (CII) Corporate Governance Advisory Council.
Jared began his career in sustainable investing in 2018 and joined Boston Trust Walden in 2019. Previously, he worked at Green Century Capital Management as a Shareholder Advocate where he conducted research on corporate exposure to risks related to material ESG issues, and engaged large and mid cap companies on risks and opportunities within operations.
Jared earned an MA in Food Systems from New York University and a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. He holds the Fundamentals of Sustainable Accounting (FSA) Credential.
